何須漫説布衣尊

數巻好書吾道存

陰盡始開芳艸戸

春來獨杜落花門

蕭條古佛風流寺

寂寞先生日涉園

村巷路深無過客

一庭修竹掩南軒

What need is idle talk on the value of simple garments?

My path is preserved in several volumes of favorite books.

Winter gone, now I open the door of fragrant herbs;

Spring arrives, alone I shut the gate of falling blossoms.

An ancient Buddha sits in quietude in the age-old temple;

The lonely teacher takes daily strolls in the garden.

In the village lanes the roads go deep, no passing travelers;

In the courtyard tall bamboo covers the south eaves.
