天下自多事

被吹天下風

高秋悲鬢白

衰病夢顏紅

送鳥天無盡

看雲道不窮

殘存吾骨貴

愼勿妄磨礱

Untitled (October 7, 1910)

The world is thronged with busyness,

Blown by the winds under heaven.

In the height of autumn I grieve over graying side locks,

Weak and ill, I dream of the ruddiness of youth.

See off the birds in the boundless sky,

Look at the clouds on the endless road.

All that remains are my precious bones;

Take care that they do not wear away.
