無題(大正五年九月二十九日)

朝洗青研夕愛鵞

蓮池水靜接西坡

委花細雨黃昏到

託竹光風綠影過

一日清閒無債鬼

十年生計在詩魔

興來題句春琴上

墨滴幽香道氣多

Untitled (September 29, 1916)

By morning, wash the ink stone; by evening, cherish the geese;

Water in the lotus pond quietly merges with the west bank.

Light rainfall wets the blossoms, yellow dusk arrives;

A bright wind rustles the bamboo through the green shade.

One day of pure leisure owes no debt to the spirits;

Ten years of livelihood are made by poetic afflatus.

When inspiration comes, I inscribe verses on the spring zither;

Black ink drips on a secluded fragrance, the Dao’s presence is vast.
