獨往孤來俗不齊

山居悠久没東西

巖頭晝靜桂花落

檻外明月澗鳥啼

道到無心天自合

時如有意節將迷

空山寂寂人閑處

幽草芊芊滿古蹊

Alone I come, alone I go, unlike the vulgar;

Reclusion is timeless, there is no East and West.

Daytime quietude at the crags, Osmanthus blossoms falling;

Bright moon beyond the railing, valley birds crying.

When man achieves selflessness, heaven naturally joins;

If time had its wish, the seasons would go astray.

Empty hills desolate, a man’s tranquil place;

Secluded grass luxuriant, mantling an old path.
