No. 11

An Impromptu poem I wrote at a restaurant after my boat reached Mitsubori at dawn.

An overcast of murky fog, I look but cannot see,
At daybreak people stop and lean on the blue railing.
The river villages after rain show growing signs of autumn;
A mournful wind is blowing, the withered grass is cold.
